Seven Seconds: Memories of the JFK Assassination, the Tragedy That Changed America

Seven Seconds: Memories of the JFK Assassination, the Tragedy That Changed America (Kindle Single)

Written by: Holly Millea

Star Rating: 4.5 Stars!

Holly Millea is a journalist that has interviewed a wide variety of public figures and in each interview she always asked the same question. "Where were you when you heard the news that President Kennedy had been shot?" In Seven Seconds Holly shares the answers that she received. Though most are what you would expect to hear about the sadness that was felt by all, there are some very surprising answers that she shares. Though I was not born when President Kennedy was assassinated, I always thought that the entire country and even a large part of the world wept as news of his death spread. So what was said by a few in this short book took me by surprise.

Whether you remember where you were, or if you just want to know how many reacted to the news of the assassination, this is a good quick read that takes you into the thoughts and feelings of many public figures. Do be warned that there is some mild profanity, but only in one or maybe two interviews. The only violence that is mentioned is in direct relation to the assassination. I would say that this book is appropriate for high school age and older readers.
