I love to read, and I am sharing my passion for books of many genres with you. Have you read a book I've reviewed? Tell me about it. Do you know of a book I should review? Tell me about that too.

Idaho 100

Idaho 100: The People Who Most Influenced the Gem State.

Written by: Martin Peterson and Randy Stapilus

Star Rating: 4.5 stars!

I got this book for a couple of reasons, first, I live in Idaho state, and second, I like history and when you put the two of them together, I am a happy reader. In this book, the authors have compiled a listing of Idaho's top 100 people. In order to qualify for their listing each person had to meet a certain requirements like having lived in the state of Idaho long enough to have qualified for resident status, at least in today's terms. They had to have made an impact on the state that took it in a direction it would not necessarily have gone in without their influence. Though the majority of the people on the list will have names that you might recognize, there are many that you won't know at all, and some that many would love to forget.

I would recommend this book to anyone interested in history, and specifically Idaho history. This could and probably should be on every Idaho History teachers desk and used to spark discussions and debates in the classroom.
